At FLSCON, we are a non-profit company that relies almost exclusively on the fans to help us build an experience for other fans, and every single one of us is a volunteer. From the captain’s chair to the engine room, we run on passion, caffeine, and a shared love of great stories. And we’d love to have you aboard.
Our volunteers fall into two categories: Staff and Minions.
Staff
These are the dedicated souls who work year-round to bring FLSCON to life. Staff members help shape the convention from the ground up—planning programming, wrangling logistics, and making sure the whole ship stays on course. It’s a commitment, but the reward is knowing you helped create something amazing (plus our undying gratitude and the occasional virtual high-five and we’re working on more bennies… stay tuned!).
Minions
Never heard of a “Minion”? They’re the ones who “go for this” and “go for that”—the unsung heroes who keep every convention running. Minions show up during the convention and pitch in wherever they’re needed most, whether that’s helping at registration, directing traffic, or making sure panelists have water. If conventions were starships, Minions would be the crew keeping life support humming.
